Sherrilyn and Dale Harman call their home “Harman Cottage”.
(Sherrilyn is pronounced share-a-lin)
Sherrilyn and Dale Harman both come from small communities in Northern Ontario. In 2002 we made our first family trip to Prince Edward Island and fell in love with it. As our family was leaving on the ferry the kids were so sad. On our way home from touring Quebec and the Maritime provinces we asked them what they wanted to do for our next trip. They all wanted to return to PEI and to go whale watching again. Sorry to the other provinces but PEI stole our hearts. Many years and PEI vacations later, in 2016 we became residents of North Rustico, PEI.
North Rustico is a lovely fishing village on the beautiful north shore of Prince Edward Island, a few kilometers from Cavendish.
Like so many Islanders we have Celtic, English and French roots (MacNeill from Scotland; Campbell, McMurray and McDonald from Ireland; Harman, Houghton and Rowlandson from England; and Tellier from Quebec).
We are both musicians from musical families. Dale plays piano and other instruments, leads worship, writes music and operates a home recording studio. Sherrilyn started with piano and moved on as an adult to the Celtic harp and violin. She is very excited about her Celtic harp “Morgan”, built by Stanley and Stanley. If you are looking for handcrafted excellence and beauty that is the place to go.
Sherrilyn loves card making and crocheting. Dale enjoys woodworking, genealogy, photography, nature recording, laser engraving, computers and electronics.
